Stephen and Ally’s wedding day took place at the clubhouse of Callawassie Island, a gorgeous community in Beaufort, South Carolina. Their friends and family gathered beside the water on a warm and breezy afternoon. Ally wore a simple and classic bridal gown along with a pearl bracelet and jeweled shoes. Her bouquet was comprised of neutral color roses and pampas grass to echo the tones of the lowcountry setting.
The Clubhouse at Callawassie Island had a perfect bridal suite upstairs filled with natural sunlight and neutral walls-getting ready photo GOLD!
After a first look by the water we took a few portraits by sugar mill ruins built using shells that are located on the Callawassie Island property. The texture of this building was so cool up close! The palm trees and sun just had my heart ALL the way happy I feel like you can feel how relaxed and tropical this day felt in the images. I love that my lens flare created a little rainbow on a few of Stephen and Ally’s portraits. If you remember from Hanna Lei and Jake’s wedding rainbows are a sign of good luck :).
The ceremony site right on the water was accented by a large floral wedding arch made from greenery and hints of neutral bloom.
I mean, can you get better light in a reception space? Look at those windows!
Stephen and Ally opted for a biodegradable flower petal confetti to keep the sea life safe being this close to the water.
