Kashmir started her day getting ready at the gorgeous historic house on the property at Agapae Oaks. I am a total sucker for old homes and wow, guys this one does not disappoint! The staircase was the perfect place to photograph her bridal details.
Kashmir’s mom had her wedding diamond made into a necklace for her to wear on her wedding day.
We opted for a first look with the bridal party in the main upstairs landing just outside of the room where Kashmir put her wedding dress on. Although she got ready with them in the morning this was their first reaction to seeing her dress and veil.
After the bridal party first look we headed outside to the quintessentially lowcountry grounds of Agapae Oaks for group photos. Seriously, the combination of spanish moss and oak trees along the drive in are so photogenic along with the dusty rose bridesmaid dresses and white florals.
Mike’s groom details included a bowtie from Brackish and his Citadel ring.
Y’all this group had F-U-N alllll day.
During their first look on the bridge at Agape Oaks Mike and Kashmir opted to read their hand written vows privately to one another in lieu of reading them during the ceremony. Reading personalized vows in front of a crowd isn’t for everyone and if public speaking isn’t necessarily your jam this is such a sweet moment to have together.
Note to self: This is what happens when you ask Citadel football players to “tackle” the bride and groom. And I LOVE it!
Every wedding has an image that just screams “hang me on the wall”. For me, it is this photo all the way to the right just stands out. I love Kashmir’s cathedral length veil and that classic black and white minimalism.
Their signature cocktail featured the likeness of their sweet pup Moultrie.
Let it be known-a tent full of twinkle lights is NEVER the wrong answer.
After the bouquet toss Mike’s mom let us in on a little secret: the brother of the groom’s girlfriend who caught the bouquet would soon be his fiance!
A little milk and cookie snack was passed in the last hour of dancing and then the newlyweds ran through a tunnel of sparklers to their exit vehicle.
